My Garden

Kelli walking through rows of zinnias.

We moved to our home about 20 years ago. It was an old dairy farm, with only the milking parlor still standing (we call it our barn). Before the foundation of the house was even poured, I was making my first garden. There were snowdrops growing in the pasture, which I dug up and moved to beds I created around the barn. They are still there today.

Since then, I have added and removed gardens regularly! I think that’s what gardeners do, never fully satisfied with their gardens being complete. Or maybe it’s that we always need a project. All I know is that my happy place is being out here, digging in the dirt. Here are some pictures from my gardens over the years.
